Winchester Road in Brooklin to Temporarily Reopen

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced that Winchester Road in Brooklin will temporarily reopen for the winter season. The section of the road from Durham Street/Chelmsford Drive to east of Watford Street/Anderson Street is scheduled to reopen by the evening of November 29. Minor lane restrictions will remain until mid-December 2024 to ensure the safety of work crews. The road work is part of a project aimed at widening and rehabilitating Winchester Road. A full eastbound lane closure will resume in April 2025 and is expected to last until September 2025. Further details on future lane closures will be available on the Durham Region's newsroom and project page.
