Whitby Shelter Supports Over 160 Individuals Since March 2024

Since its opening in March 2024, the low-barrier shelter located at 1635 Dundas Street East in Whitby has provided services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Managed by the Christian Faith Outreach Centre, the shelter has supported over 160 unique individuals with various services, including mental health and addiction support, harm reduction, housing and employment assistance, medical services, arts programming, and life skills training.
