Veterans' Crosswalk Planned for King and Temperance

The General Government Committee of Clarington has approved the development of a Veterans' Crosswalk at the intersection of King and Temperance Streets in Bowmanville. This initiative aims to serve as a permanent memorial for those who have served in the Canadian Forces.

The crosswalk's location is strategically chosen for its proximity to the cenotaph and its significance as part of the annual Bowmanville Remembrance parade route. The project was proposed by Councillor Traill and supported by Councillors Anderson and Elhajjeh, highlighting the community's respect and gratitude towards veterans.
