Update to Cemetery By-law
The General Government Committee met on November 28, 2022, and discussed the updates to the Cemetery By-law as outlined in Report LGS-019-22. The committee approved a resolution to repeal and replace By-law 2022-035 with a new Cemetery By-law. This new by-law incorporates changes mandated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario. The updated by-law will be forwarded to the Bereavement Authority of Ontario for final approval. The resolution was passed with the intent to inform all interested parties listed in Report LGS-019-22 of the Council’s decision.
