Update on November Price Indices Released by Statistics Canada
Statistics Canada released the latest figures for the Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI) and the Raw Materials Price Index (RMPI) for November 2024. The IPPI, which tracks variations in the selling prices of goods for domestic demand, increased by 0.6% from October 2024 and showed a year-over-year increase of 2.2%. The RMPI, reflecting price changes of raw materials purchased by manufacturers, decreased by 0.5% from the previous month but recorded a 2.0% increase compared to the same month last year.
