Upcoming Virtual Public Information Centre for MCEA Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station Plan in Beaverton

The Regional Municipality of Durham is conducting a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study to address the sanitary sewage servicing needs of the Beaverton Employment Area. This study aims to identify and review various alternative sites for the Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station (SSPS) and select a preferred alternative to service both existing non-serviced areas and future growth in Beaverton. A virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) has been scheduled to facilitate public consultation, allowing residents to review the study background, existing conditions, problems and opportunities, and the recommended solution. Materials for the PIC will be available for review and download starting July 25, 2024, at durham.ca/BeavertonSSPS. Residents are encouraged to provide their comments by September 23, 2024.
