Upcoming Road Closure on Regional Road 1 in Uxbridge

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Regional Road 1 in the Township of Uxbridge. The closure will take place on Regional Road 1, from north of Sandford Road to 400 metres north of Ashworth Road, in Uxbridge. The closure is scheduled from July 16 to December 2024, with the possibility of delays due to unfavourable weather conditions. The purpose of the closure is to safely complete road reconstruction. Residents are advised that the work may be disruptive, and the Region will make every effort to complete it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are urged to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
