Upcoming Lane Restrictions on Brock Road in Pickering

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced upcoming lane restrictions on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in the City of Pickering. The affected area will be from Alexander Knox Road (Whitevale Road/5th Concession Road) to 500 metres north of Ashe Avenue (Pickering GO Bus carpool parking lot). These restrictions will be in effect from July 29 to December 2024, with the possibility of schedule changes due to unfavourable weather conditions. The purpose of these restrictions is to safely install watermains and sanitary sewers, create a new median island and intersection, and complete boulevard work. Residents are advised to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews during this period.
