Upcoming Lane Restrictions and Closures on Columbus Road East in Oshawa

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced upcoming lane restrictions and closures on Columbus Road East (Regional Road 3) in Oshawa, set to begin on August 6, 2024, and continue through September 2025. The affected area includes Columbus Road East from 150 metres west of Grandview Street to 75 metres east of Townline Road, and on Grandview Street from 1100 metres south of Columbus Road to 100 metres north of Columbus Road. The project will involve daily lane restrictions for road reconstruction and rehabilitation. Full closures of Columbus Road East at the intersection of Grandview Street North will occur intermittently throughout the construction period. A winter shutdown is scheduled from December 2024 to May 2025, with work resuming in May 2025 and completion expected by September 2025. Traffic detours will be established to redirect vehicles around the closures. Residents are advised to exercise caution in the construction zones for the safety of work crews.
