Two Women Found Deceased in Courtice; Suspect in Custody

Two females were found deceased in Courtice following a police well-being check on October 1, 2024. The victims have been identified as Katrina Zwolinski, 30, and Laurie Crew, 67. A male suspect, Michael Belhu, 33, was arrested at the scene. He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder. The suspect is reportedly the ex-boyfriend of Katrina Zwolinski and the father of her child, who was present but unharmed during the incident.

The Durham Regional Police Service is conducting an investigation and has requested anyone with information, including cell phone, dashcam, or surveillance footage, to contact Detective Dorego of the Homicide Unit. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers.
