Transit Detours for Pickering Santa Parade on November 23, 2024

Durham Region Transit has announced detours for several bus routes in Pickering due to road closures for the Santa Claus Parade. The detours will be in effect on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

  • Route 112: Buses will operate via Kingston Road, Brock Road, and Pickering Parkway in both directions.
  • Route 121: Service will detour via Finch Avenue, Brock Road, and Pickering Parkway.
  • Route 917: Buses will start and end at Pickering Station.
  • Pulse 900: The route will operate via Whites Road, Finch Avenue, Valley Farm Road, and Kingston Road.
  • Pulse 916: Service will detour via Brock Road and Pickering Parkway.

These changes are necessary to accommodate the parade and ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and expect delays during the event.
