Transit Detours Announced for Bowmanville Remembrance Day Parade

Durham Region Transit has announced temporary detours for Routes 902 and 502 in Bowmanville due to the Remembrance Day Parade. The detours will be in effect on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 09:30 to 12:30.

• Route 902 Detours:
• Eastbound service will operate via Bowmanville Avenue, Longworth Avenue, Scugog Street, and Church Street, ending at stop #1479 on Church Street eastbound at Scugog Street.
• Westbound service will begin at stop #1479 and will operate via Church Street, Liberty Street, Longworth Avenue, and Bowmanville Avenue.
• Route 502 Detours:
• West of Downtown Bowmanville, Route 502 will operate via Bowmanville Avenue and Longworth Avenue, bypassing stops between King Street/Bowmanville Avenue and Scugog Street/Longworth Avenue.
• East of Downtown Bowmanville, the route will operate via Concession Street, Scugog Street, and Liberty Street, avoiding stops south of Liberty Street and Church Street.
• Trips will start and end at stop #1479 on Church Street eastbound at Scugog Street.

Temporary stops will be located on Bowmanville Avenue, north of King Street.
