Traffic Sign Reflectivity Inspection Program Extended

The General Government Committee of Clarington met on March 29, 2021, where a resolution was passed regarding the Traffic Sign Reflectivity Inspection Program. The committee authorized the Purchasing Manager, in consultation with the Director of Public Works, to extend contract CL2016-12 for an additional one-year term, ending December 31, 2021. Advantage Data Collection was awarded this extension for an approximate value of $65,000, which includes the Net HST Rebate. The funding for this extension will be sourced from the Safety Devices/Traffic Signs/Miscellaneous Operating Supply account, specifically account number 100-36-384-10315-7112. This initiative aims to enhance public safety by ensuring that traffic signs maintain adequate reflectivity, thereby improving visibility for drivers and pedestrians alike.
