Suspect Wanted for Sexual Assault on Durham Transit Bus

An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred on a Durham Transit bus. On September 12, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a female boarded a Durham Transit bus at the Oshawa campus of Durham College. A male also boarded the bus and sat beside her, attempting to engage her in conversation. As the female was exiting the bus at her stop, the male groped her. The victim was able to exit the bus safely and contacted the police. Investigators have identified the suspect as Harsimran Singh, age 27, from Oshawa. A warrant for his arrest has been issued, and he is believed to have fled the country. Singh is wanted for sexual assault. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst.
