Stabbing Incident in Ajax Leaves One Injured

A male sustained serious injuries following a stabbing incident in Ajax. On September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:05 p.m., officers from West Division responded to a call near Taunton Road West and Westney Road North. The victim was approached by three males in a parking lot, leading to a physical altercation during which the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center and is in serious but non-life-threatening condition. The suspects fled before police arrived.

Later that evening, at around 10:35 p.m., the suspect identified as responsible for the stabbing was apprehended without incident. The police have stated that this was an isolated incident and there are no public safety concerns.

Hakim J. Williams, 25, from Oshawa, has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He was released on an undertaking.
