Speed Limit Reduction Decision
On February 16, 2021, the General Government Committee of Clarington decided against lowering speed limits to 40 km/h on all Collector roads. The resolution, moved by Councillor Neal and seconded by Councillor Anderson, stated that the speed limits would not be reduced. Instead, the committee directed staff to continue monitoring the municipal road network and to research alternative traffic management options on an individual basis. This decision was carried unanimously on a recorded vote.
