Soper Creek Trail at Mearns Park to Close for Sanitary Sewer Installation

The Soper Creek Trail at Mearns Park will be closed to public access from July 15 to September 15, 2024, for sanitary sewer installation. Mearns Park will remain open during this period. A pedestrian detour route will be established with signage in designated areas. The construction schedule is as follows: - Week of July 2: Installation of sediment/erosion control fencing and construction fencing to mark boundaries. - Week of July 8: Site preparation on the east side of the Soper Creek Trail. - July 15 - September 15: Active construction period for the sanitary sewer installation, during which the Soper Creek Trail will be closed. Construction hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The contractor will make efforts to minimize inconvenience during the closure.
