Servicing Updates for Industrial Lands in South Courtice

On March 9, 2020, the General Government Committee received Report EGD-004-20 regarding the servicing of industrial lands in South Courtice. The Committee approved the use of an additional $130,000 from the Strategic Capital Reserve Fund to cover local servicing costs for two properties that were unable or unwilling to participate in the servicing costs. This brings the revised total amount allocated for servicing to $710,000, including net HST. The Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the Municipality. Staff will report back on the award of the tendered work pending the execution of the agreement between the Municipality of Clarington and the participating landowners of Courtice Court and Progress Drive. The decision aims to facilitate economic development in the area by ensuring adequate servicing for industrial lands.
