Serious Motorcycle Collision in Whitby

A 34-year-old male from Whitby sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle collision on August 27, 2024. The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Thickson Road North and Dryden Boulevard.

The collision involved a southbound Kawasaki motorcycle and a northbound Honda SUV that was turning left onto Dryden Boulevard. The motorcyclist was transported to a trauma center in Toronto with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The Durham Regional Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation, and the area was closed for several hours for evidence collection.
