Route 605 Detour Announced for Remembrance Day Service

Durham Region Transit has announced a detour for Route 605 due to road closures for a Remembrance Day service. The detour will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Northbound Detour:

• The northbound trips departing from Welwood Drive at 10:36 AM, 11:06 AM, and 12:06 PM will follow a detour via Mill Street, Reach Street, Coral Creek Crescent, Nelkydd Lane, Brock Street, Second Avenue, Dominion Street, Main Street North, Toronto Street North, and King Street West.

Southbound Detour:

• The southbound trips departing from Railway Street southbound at Albert Street at 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 12:30 PM will detour via Albert Street, Toronto Street North, Dominion Street, Second Avenue, Franklin Street, Reach Street, and Mill Street.

These changes are necessary to accommodate the Remembrance Day service and ensure the safety of participants and transit users.
