Resolution to Prohibit Symbols of Hate in Clarington

On June 22, 2020, the General Government Committee of Clarington passed Resolution # GG-246-20, which directs staff to develop a protocol to prohibit symbols of hate and racial intolerance within the community. The resolution was moved by Councillor Anderson and seconded by Councillor Hooper. The vote was unanimous, with seven members in favor, including Mayor Foster and Councillors Jones, Neal, Traill, and Zwart. Additionally, the resolution mandates that the Diversity Advisory Committee be consulted during the development of this protocol.
