Region of Durham Seeks Community Input for Ritson Road Project

The Region of Durham has announced a new community engagement project to temporarily transform a vacant lot at 350 Ritson Road South in Oshawa into a community space. Known as the "Ritson and Olive Temporary Placemaking Project," this initiative is expected to span four years. According to the Region of Durham, the project will precede scheduled road improvements set for 2029.

Residents are invited to participate in the design and use of the space, with the project aiming to reflect community input. The Region plans to organize activities and workshops as part of the engagement process. Further updates on these events and the overall project timeline will be made available as the plans progress.
