Recall Issued for Yardworks Snowblowers Due to Electric Shock Risk
The Yardworks 15-amp, 22-inch electric corded snowblower has been recalled due to the risk of electric shock. Health Canada announced that this expanded recall affects models with the model number 060-0583. The power cable on these units may become brittle and break when exposed to temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius, leading to a potential electric shock hazard.
As of March 6, 2025, there have been 13 incident reports in Canada, though no injuries have been recorded.
