Recall Issued for Soo Brand Beef Jerky Over Undeclared Mustard
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for certain Soo brand Beef Jerky products due to the presence of mustard, which is not declared on the label. This recall affects specific items, including the Curry Flavoured Beef Jerky (855g) as well as the Satay Beef Jerky in sizes 85g, 170g, and 454g.
Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled jerky as those with mustard allergies may be at risk of serious or life-threatening reactions. The CFIA also advises disposing of the products or returning them to the point of purchase.
No illnesses related to the consumption of these products have been reported as per the CFIA's current information. The agency continues its food safety investigation into the situation.
