Re-establishment of COVID-19 Property Tax Deferral Program

The General Government Committee of Clarington, during its meeting on January 10, 2022, approved the re-establishment of the COVID-19 Property Tax Deferral Program. This program allows qualifying taxpayers to defer their property taxes, interest, and penalties for a period of up to sixty days during the first six months of the 2022 taxation year. The resolution was moved by Mayor Foster and seconded by Councillor Zwart, directing the Director of Financial Services/Treasurer to implement this program.
