Public Information Centre on Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station Plan for the Port Perry Employment Area

The Regional Municipality of Durham is conducting a virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) regarding the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study for the sanitary sewage servicing needs of the Port Perry Employment Area located in the Township of Scugog. The presentation will be accessible online from July 31 to September 30 at durham.ca/PortPerryEmploymentLandsSSPS. Public consultation is a critical component of the Municipal Class EA process, and feedback received will be used to determine a preferred sanitary servicing plan for the vacant and privately serviced land within the Port Perry Employment Area. The PIC will include an overview of the Port Perry Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station (SSPS) Municipal Class EA, an evaluation of alternative solutions, information on the recommended solution, guidance on providing feedback, and details on the next steps in the process.
