Provincial Investment in Lakeridge Health
The provincial government has announced its support for the multi-phase redevelopment of Lakeridge Health’s hospital campuses located in Bowmanville, Oshawa, Ajax, and Pickering. This redevelopment includes the construction of a new hospital facility in Whitby. John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham, expressed gratitude for this investment, stating that it will significantly enhance the health care system in the region, improve access to specialized care, and create new jobs in the health care sector.
