Port Granby Project Annual Update

Mark Hughey from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories provided an update on the Port Granby Project during the General Government Committee meeting on January 9, 2023. He stated that the project was completed in 2022 and presented an overview of the project's milestones. The project has received a 10-year renewal/consolidation license. Hughey displayed photos of the site restoration activities that have taken place. He explained the Phase 3 site activities and discussed the engagement with Indigenous communities, as well as the evolution of the Public Information Program. Additionally, he outlined the proposal for the Port Granby Nature Reserve and the related Port Hope Project, responding to questions from committee members.
