Police Seek Two Suspects in Whitby Robbery
On October 24, 2024, an incident occurred in Whitby involving two male suspects during a Facebook marketplace transaction. The event took place around 7:20 p.m. near Rolling Acres Drive and Daines Drive. The victim, who had listed a jacket for sale, met with a potential buyer at a public-school parking lot. The first suspect tried on the jacket and fled on foot. The victim pursued the suspect but encountered a second male who displayed a firearm. The suspects then left the scene in a grey Honda vehicle.
The first suspect is described as a male, approximately 17 years old, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, with curly dark hair, wearing a black and white sweater, grey ripped jeans, and Asics shoes. The second suspect was wearing a black ski mask and dressed in all black clothing.
