Police Seek Two Suspects After Oshawa Shooting

Police are currently searching for two suspects following a shooting incident in Oshawa. The event occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at approximately 8:40 p.m. Officers from the Central East Division responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of Oxford Street and Wentworth Street West. Upon arrival, police discovered multiple shell casings at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing two males fleeing the area shortly after the gunshots were heard.

The first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The second suspect is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black and white ski mask, black hoodie, and black pants.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Authorities are urging anyone with cell phone, dashcam, or surveillance footage, or any information related to the incident, to contact D/Cst. Armstrong of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, with potential eligibility for a cash reward.
