Police Seek Suspects in Armed Break-and-Enter in Ajax
Authorities are searching for multiple suspects following an armed break-and-enter at a home in Ajax, Ontario. The incident took place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, around 8:50 p.m. in the vicinity of Rossland Road East and Lloydminster Avenue. According to the Durham Region Police Service, witnesses observed several individuals armed with handguns entering the residence and leaving with various valuables. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a white SUV and a black sedan before police arrived. Fortunately, no one was home at the time, and there have been no reports of injuries.
The Durham Region Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance. They are requesting anyone with cell phone, dash cam, or surveillance footage, or any information related to the incident, to contact Detective Constable Westcott of the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, where informants may be eligible for a cash reward.
The police emphasize that this information is part of an ongoing investigation, and the allegations have not yet been proven in court.
