Police Seek Suspect in Whitby Gas Station Robbery
Police are currently searching for a male suspect following a robbery at a gas station in Whitby. The incident occurred on October 29, 2024, at approximately 7:40 a.m. at the Esso Gas Station located at 932 Brock Street North. According to police reports, the suspect entered the gas station to purchase smoking paraphernalia and presented a fake ID when asked for identification by an employee. After the employee refused to sell the items, the suspect allegedly assaulted the employee and stole several items before fleeing the scene.
The employee sustained minor injuries during the incident. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 19 years old, 5’7” tall, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
