Police Seek Suspect in Oshawa Centre Firearm Incident
On October 7, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., police responded to an incident at the Oshawa Centre involving a suspect who allegedly pointed a firearm at a group of males. The suspect, described as a male with a slim build, approximately 6 feet tall, aged between 20 to 30 years, with long hair in a bun, was reportedly wearing a white tracksuit, black sandals, a black crossbody satchel, and a black scarf. Following the incident, the suspect fled on foot with two other males, heading southbound through the parking lot.
The Durham Regional Police Service is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. Individuals with cell phone, dashcam, or surveillance footage related to the incident are encouraged to contact the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, with the possibility of a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
