Police Seek Suspect After Shots Fired into Whitby Home
Police are searching for a suspect after shots were fired into a residence in Whitby on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The incident took place at approximately 10:35 p.m. in the area of Rivers Edge Place and Taunton Road East, as reported by the Durham Region Police Service.
The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing, seen fleeing the scene in a white Mercedes SUV. Upon arrival, officers discovered several bullet holes in the residence. Fortunately, the house was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries have been reported.
