Police Search for Suspect in Oshawa Assault Incident

Police are searching for a male suspect involved in an assault that occurred in Oshawa.

On August 28, 2024, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers from the Central East Division responded to a report of an armed individual at Memorial Park, located at 110 Simcoe Street South. Upon arrival, they found that a male had struck another male in the head with a brick before fleeing the scene.

Emergency responders provided life-saving measures to the victim, who was subsequently transported to a trauma center in Toronto with life-threatening injuries. Despite a search of the area, police were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a White male, aged 20 to 30 years, approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build.
