Police Search for Missing 55-Year-Old Man from Ontario Shores
Durham Region Police are conducting a search for a 55-year-old man who went missing from the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby. The individual, named Rohan, was last observed leaving the facility on the afternoon of November 9, 2024. Authorities believe he may be traveling on foot and could be in the Toronto area.
Rohan is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short brown hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black toque with white writing, a black vest, a white and black zip-up sweater, white pants, and white shoes. He was also carrying a blue backpack.
The police have expressed concerns for Rohan's safety due to his absence from the mental health facility. A photograph of Rohan is available on the Durham Region Police Service's website.
Anyone with information regarding Rohan's whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Constable Riddell of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3891. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or through their website, with the possibility of a cash reward for information leading to Rohan's location.
