Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Goodwood

On November 15, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., police responded to a shooting incident in Goodwood, located at the intersection of Deer Ridge Road and Goodwood Road. The suspects, who were inside a vehicle, fired shots at a residence before fleeing the scene. Upon arrival, officers found several shell casings and noted that the front of the residence and garage had been hit by bullets. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the occupants of the home.

Investigators currently consider this to be an isolated incident and have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The police are seeking assistance from the public and are asking anyone with cell phone, dash cam, or surveillance footage to come forward. Information can be provided to D/Cst. Smith of the North Division Criminal Investigations Branch at the Durham Regional Police Service.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, with the possibility of a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
