Police Investigate Gunfire at Uxbridge Home
On November 30, 2024, at approximately 4:10 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on Deer Ridge Road in Uxbridge. Officers from the North Division found shell casings at the scene. This incident follows a similar occurrence earlier in the month at the same location. No injuries have been reported in either case.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that the residence was mistakenly targeted. The motive behind the shootings is still under investigation.
The Durham Region has seen a 33% increase in shooting incidents this year. Authorities are urging residents to report any suspicious activities.
