Overview of Proposed Municipal Business Solution Software
The General Government Committee of Clarington discussed the Municipal Business Solution during their meeting on May 11, 2020. Johanna Brown, Account Manager at Vision 33, provided an overview of the Amanda solution, which is designed for Building, Planning, Licensing, and Permitting, as well as Code Enforcement and Inspections for government organizations. Currently, 30 jurisdictions utilize this solution. The software aims to enhance government operations by improving efficiency through modernization, stakeholder service, financial management, mobile workforce productivity, application consolidation, and ensuring security and privacy. Key components of the software include a centralized database, citizen access portal, inspector application, analytics, and an electronic plan review and markup tool. The committee moved to refer the report back to staff for further details regarding the software provider, developer, support, modules to be purchased, integration with existing software, and Amazon Cloud capabilities.
