Overview of Emergency Tree Pruning Removal and Hydro Line Clearing Registry Contract

The General Government Committee of Clarington has awarded a contract for the Emergency Tree Pruning Removal and Hydro Line Clearing Registry to five companies: Asplundh Canada ULC, Cressman Tree Maintenance & Landscaping Ltd., Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada Limited, Ontario Line Clearing & Tree Experts Inc., and Rockwood Tree Services Ltd. This decision was made during the meeting held on April 19, 2021, following the receipt of Report FSD-020-21. The contract is for an initial three-year term, with the possibility of extending it for up to two additional one-year terms, contingent on satisfactory performance. The estimated funding required for the first year is $80,000 (Net HST Rebate), which will be sourced from the Parks/Forestry/Contracting account (Account Number: 100-36-325-10215-7163). For the second and third years, the estimated funding will be $160,000 (Net HST Rebate) and will be included in future budget accounts.
