Outcome of Budget Book Request at General Government Committee Meeting

During the General Government Committee meeting on January 25, 2021, a motion was presented by Councillor Neal, seconded by Councillor Jones, to receive a full line by line budget book. The motion received support from Councillors Jones, Neal, and Traill, totaling three votes in favor. However, it was opposed by Mayor Foster, Councillors Anderson, Hooper, and Zwart, resulting in a total of four votes against. The motion was ultimately lost on a recorded vote of 3 to 4. A subsequent motion to suspend the rules of procedure for further discussion on the budget book request was also lost.
