Oshawa Man Wanted Following Firearm Assault

A man from Oshawa is being sought by police following an incident involving a firearm. The suspect, identified by the police as Jalil Luddin Sayah, age 28, is accused of assaulting a victim with a firearm. On the evening of February 4, 2025, police officers responded to a report of an armed individual at a residence near Garden Street and Jerseyville Way in Whitby.

Upon arrival, police found that an altercation had occurred inside the residence, leading to the victim being struck in the head with a firearm. The victim was subsequently taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived.

The police have released a description of Sayah and are seeking assistance from the public to locate him. He is wanted on charges including pointing a firearm and assault with a weapon.
