Oshawa Man Arrested Following Break-and-Enter at Canadian Tire
A 40-year-old man, identified as Tyler Leo Lazure, was arrested following a break-and-enter incident at a Canadian Tire store located in Oshawa. The incident took place on December 24, 2024, at approximately 5:10 a.m. Officers from the Central East Division responded to reports of a break-in at 1333 Wilson Road North. Upon arrival, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by the police after a brief pursuit.
Lazure faces charges including two counts of Break-and-Enter and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. He is also suspected of involvement in a previous break-and-enter at the same location. Following his arrest, Lazure was held for a bail hearing.
The Durham Region Police Service has requested that anyone with information related to this incident contact Detective Constable Hutcheson of the Central East Criminal Investigations Branch. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers, where individuals may qualify for a cash reward.
It is important to note that the charges against Lazure are allegations that have yet to be proven in court.
