A motor vehicle collision on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa resulted in serious injuries for two drivers on Friday morning. According to the Durham Region Police Service, the incident happened on March 7, 2025, around 8:00 a.m. Emergency responders from East Division attended the scene.

The collision involved a northbound Mazda pickup truck that reportedly lost control and collided head-on with a southbound GMC SUV. Both vehicles sustained significant damage from the impact.

Authorities have yet to disclose further information on the incident's cause, and the investigation remains ongoing. Temporary road closures were implemented as police conducted their on-scene inquiries.
