New Contract for Grass Cutting and Median Maintenance Services Awarded

The General Government Committee of Clarington awarded a contract for Grass Cutting and Median Maintenance Services to Howe’s Your Yard during a meeting on March 29, 2021. The estimated annual bid amount is $537,700, which includes the Net HST Rebate. This contract is for an initial three-year term and was awarded as Howe’s Your Yard was the lowest compliant bidder meeting all terms, conditions, and specifications of tender CL2021-5. The Purchasing Manager, in consultation with the Director of Public Works, has the authority to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year terms, pending satisfactory performance. The funds required for the first-year term will be sourced from the Parks Maintenance – Contract – Grass Cutting account, while the estimated total for the second and third-year terms is projected at $1,075,400 (Net HST Rebate) and will be included in future budget accounts.
