New Appointments Announced for Clarington Local Committees

The General Government Committee of Clarington met on February 3, 2025, and confirmed new appointments to several local committees.

Michael Kamstra was appointed to the Accessibility Advisory Committee for a term that will last until December 31, 2026. This appointment is documented in the meeting's minutes.

The meeting also resulted in appointments to the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade Committee. The new members, who will serve until December 31, 2026, are Angela Schill, Dennis Keane, Jennifer Bheemsingh, Mia Mansi, and Fazela Yasin.

Other appointments included Deanna Frost, Peter Martin, Mel Green, Julie Blake, and Sharon Payton to the Newcastle Village Community Hall Board. Danielle Carroll, Greg Carroll, Crystal Ovenden, Jacquie MacEachern, Larry Quinney, and Petra Billings were appointed to the Tyrone Hall Board, with all terms ending on December 31, 2026.

The committee acknowledged and thanked outgoing members for their contributions. Those who resigned include Allison Speight from the Accessibility Advisory Committee, as well as Kelly Maika, Rick Bellamy, and Ashley Maika from the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade Committee.
