Municipal Law Enforcement Service Delivery Review Discussed by General Government Committee

On September 11, 2023, the General Government Committee discussed the Municipal Law Enforcement Service Delivery Review as outlined in Report CAO-018-23. The committee resolved to receive the report and its related delegations and communication items. The committee endorsed the request for a full-time Clerk II position, which is to be funded from gapping in 2023 and included in the 2024 budget. Additionally, the committee agreed to consider the inclusion of a full-time Municipal Law Enforcement Officer and a full-time Animal Shelter Clerk I, upgrading the current part-time position, in the 2024 budget. The recommendations from the service delivery review will be forwarded to staff for an implementation plan.
