Motorcycle Collision in Ajax Results in Serious Injuries

A 26-year-old male suffered serious injuries following a single motorcycle collision in Ajax. On September 18, 2024, at approximately 3:55 p.m., officers from West Division responded to a collision at Bayly Street West and Monarch Avenue. The individual, who was operating a blue Yamaha dirt bike, lost control in a parking lot and was ejected from the bike. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, struck his head and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center with serious life-threatening injuries. His condition has since been upgraded to serious but non-life-threatening. A portion of the parking lot was closed as the Durham Regional Police Service Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation.
