Michael Lindsay Appointed Interim CEO of Metrolinx

The Ontario government has announced a change in leadership at Metrolinx, appointing Michael Lindsay as the interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Lindsay, who previously served as President and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario, will assume his new role on December 16, 2024. His primary task will be to oversee the opening of the Eglinton Crosstown project.

Phil Verster, the outgoing CEO of Metrolinx, will be leaving his position to pursue a new opportunity. During his tenure, Metrolinx expanded Ontario's transit network significantly. The Metrolinx Board of Directors will initiate a search for a permanent president and CEO.

Premier Doug Ford emphasized Lindsay's mandate to prioritize the completion of the Eglinton Crosstown project, highlighting its importance to the province's transit infrastructure.
