Mayor Foster Issues Statement of Condolence on the Loss of Jill Richardson

Clarington, Ontario – Mayor Adrian Foster has issued a statement expressing condolences on the death of Jill Richardson, a board member of Marigold Hospice Care. In his statement, Mayor Foster said, “I am profoundly saddened by the passing of Clarington’s Jill Richardson. This is a heartbreaking loss for our community and all those lucky enough to know this incredible citizen.” He highlighted Richardson's role as a fierce advocate for hospice care, noting that her efforts were essential in making the construction of Marigold Hospice Care a reality. The Mayor stated that end-of-life care in the community will be forever improved because of her advocacy. He added, “Through her warmth and compassion, Jill made a lasting contribution to our municipality. Her legacy will continue to inspire many who also seek to make a difference.” On behalf of the Council and the Municipality of Clarington, he extended deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all those grieving her loss.
